It was always my dream to see a Bollywood film shoot, and as fate would have it, I have been a part of two. One in Jaipur and another in Mysore. Indian movies are always a lot of fun. I can see this translating well to Indian life. The small town of his childhood, the walk across the country, (very much a Sadhu moment), his true love just out of reach. This should be interesting.
Side note: I went on googlemaps to see what Jaipur looks like now and got stuck in this office. If I don’t come back by nightfall send help:
“The only way to get that vomit off of me was to get in the fuckin’ rain……I’m a fuckin’ decent, fuckin’ goodhearted motherfucker”.
Looking forward to a mannequin knife fight after working all day on chorus girl costumes.
I lived in Billyburg as a young dancer. It is fun to see familiar spots in this film. I have never gone back there since 1994 because I don’t think I can handle seeing the old haunts gone to make room for bougie boutiques and overpriced artisanal toast joints.
