Bolly Gump

It was always my dream to see a Bollywood film shoot, and as fate would have it, I have been a part of two. One in Jaipur and another in Mysore. Indian movies are always a lot of fun.  I can see this translating well to Indian life. The small town of his childhood, the walk across the country, (very much a Sadhu moment), his true love just out of reach. This should be interesting.

Side note: I went on googlemaps to see what Jaipur looks like now and got stuck in this office. If I don’t come back by nightfall send help:,75.7879479,3a,75y,72.17h,96.3t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipPhq9btHARHM7YK_B4V7VnTuwy1DrKs7rhZwhRu!2e10!3e11!!7i13312!8i6656

RIP Jonas Mekas

I lived in Billyburg as a young dancer. It is fun to see familiar spots in this film. I have never gone back there since 1994 because I don’t think I can handle seeing the old haunts gone to make room for bougie boutiques and overpriced artisanal toast joints.
